In 2024, First Federal Bank of Louisiana launched the Eagle Giving Fund, which is an employee giving program that benefits local nonprofits. The program allows Bank employees to donate as much or as little as they want through their paychecks each pay period, and the donations are dedicated to a chosen nonprofit in the SWLA and CENLA markets. The program’s first year closed with the Bank’s SWLA employees contributing to a $6,281 donation to Project Build A Future, and the Bank’s CENLA employees contributing to a $1,000 donation to the Inner City Revitalization Corporation.

“The Eagle Giving Fund allows employees to play a role in how we give to the community,” said President & CEO Sam Wilkinson. “Employees feel empowered to donate each pay period, and the Bank selects a local nonprofit that fits within our mission. Project Build A Future was a perfect fit for the 2024 giving year.”

Project Build A Future, located in Lake Charles, works to revitalize target areas through quality, affordable homeownership initiatives. Inner City Revitalization Corporation, located in Alexandria, works to revitalize Central Louisiana neighborhoods with affordable homeownership. First Federal Bank chooses a different nonprofit each year to benefit from the Eagle Giving Fund, and its 2025 SWLA beneficiary will be Care Help of Sulphur.
